New Job

In these tough economic times it is hard to even think about changing jobs because you are grateful you have a job when so many others don't. In my last job I worked as a collection agent for medical collections, it was a tough job because I am not really a firm person to make a demand for money especially when the the person I am calling has no income because of a lost job... I struggled. I did stay there for a year and a half and on May 5th, 1 month today I started a new job I had the opportunity to get back into the medical field so I took the chance. I am working at Evergreen Eye Center I am working for a cataract specialist and I am enjoying the change I am at this time working to become a certified ophthalmic tech. Yes it has been a huge change I had to invest in scrubs for the first time (in all of my other medical experience we didn't have to wear them) I have gone from a desk job to standing on my feet 8 hrs or more a day and I have been taking ibuprofen like candy, well at first it was like that but it is only down to once a day now, that was the hardest transition. :) I am working 2 miles from home as opposed to 20 it is so much nicer and I am being paid a little bit more then what I was so all in all it has been a really good change. YEA!
